Review scope

What a preliminary review covers.

PREiQ supports preliminary plan review. It does not issue a permit, certify compliance, replace the authority having jurisdiction or replace a licensed design professional.

Coverage is project-specific

Before a paid review is accepted, its scope identifies the project type, selected disciplines, document revisions, applicable code edition, available local sources and deliverables. An address lookup is not confirmation of code-review coverage.

Supporting documents have a defined role

The intended residential workflow checks for a required truss packet’s presence rather than re-engineering it. Energy checks focus on area consistency and attic configuration. Product-approval checks focus on whether the referenced approval exists and is current, where an authoritative source is available. Missing access or uncertain evidence must remain visible.

Findings need a basis

A drawing conflict, a request for clarification and a verified code issue are different results. Past reviewer comments inform development; they do not establish today’s governing code. Model-assisted findings require professional review before reliance.

Corrections are scoped

Standalone review provides findings for the project’s design team. Drawing revisions and later agency-response work are agreed separately unless expressly included. Plan-development proposals include review and correction work within their stated scope.

Purchases and licenses

This standalone site is not collecting payments. Project prices, membership allowances, API limits and terms must be confirmed before purchase or activation. An inquiry does not purchase a review or begin a subscription.
